NATURE’S MARVELS

Lake Magadi, in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, is a highly saline, alkaline lake traversed by ridges on either side, mainly recharged by saline hot springs. The colours on the lake change continuously during the course of the day as the sun rises higher. The lake unveils its secrets only when you photograph it from above - in a helicopter to be precise. A most unique sight awaits - beautiful vibrant colours and textures come together to form incredible patterns below the surface of the water. And the pink and white specs just above these shapes - flocks of Greater and Lesser Flamingos gliding over the water in effortless unison.
